A gift through your will is a powerful way of assisting the Foundation long into the future. Making a provision in your will does not affect your income during your lifetime, however such a gift will benefit many lifetimes of important research.
Bequests may be used to support research programs in specific areas (eg depression), including research into the development of effective community interventions to prevent and treat mental health problems. Bequests may also be used to fund postgraduate scholarships or research fellowships in perpetuity.
The use of your gift is entirely up to you. If you have a vision about encouraging an activity or project we would be pleased to explore this further with you.
Your gift will be managed by the Foundation, in accordance with its specified use. The Foundation operates under the ANU Code of Practice for Philanthropy.
If you wish your gift to the Foundation to be
managed as a capital sum, preserved in real terms and the interest
only available to support your desired purpose, then the fund with
be placed in the ANU Endowment for Excellence, and managed by the
Foundation.
Please note that this is only a suggestion
and you should always consult your legal adviser about the wording
of your bequest.
